Vehicles running on LPG are typically less fuel-efficient than those running on petrol. For the above calculations, we have allowed an extra 10% fuel use for cars converted using the VSI system (suitable for cars made 2003 and later). We have allowed 30% extra fuel use for conversions using the Venturi system (suitable for cars made earlier than 2003).
